The Atlanta Sci-Fi Film Festival is currently accepting submissions for our first ever Game Jam Showcase.

WHAT TYPE OF GAME SHOULD I BUILD?

GAME THEME CHALLENGES

There are 3 different themes you can choose from to incorporate into your game design!

Dune

In celebration of Dune's release date, we challenge you to build a game inspired by the masterpiece. One of the key themes in Frank Herbert's masterpiece is the interplay of fate and free will. Let these ideas guide you into creating a fun desert side scroller, or choose your own adventure. The choice is yours......or is it?

Morse Code

In celebration of the Atlanta Sci Fi Film Festival's First official Game Jam, we decided to center a challenge on our obsession with Morse Code. Your game only requires 2 simple inputs, a dot and a dash.

Better Together

Good things come in pairs, and so do fun games. Design a game where balance and collaboration between players are central to the game design. The game must require 2 players.

GAME CATEGORIES

There are 3 categories of games that meet the criteria for the showcase.

Virtual Games: These are browser-ready to play games. These will be available to the at-home online attendees of the festival.

At Home In-Person Games: These are games with simple assets that can either be printed or recreated with basic household items for our at-home online festival attendees.

Outdoor Games: These will be our in-person on-site games. They must not require electricity or weigh more than 10 pounds.
